Sunset over the Big M

First of all, I have a SLIDESHOW up of all of the images from buttedailyphoto, so if people want to see all of the photos they don't need to keep clicking "Older Posts."

I drove around for quite a while trying to find some inspiration for a photo. I finally decided I would take some long exposures of traffic. I drove near the Kaw Avenue overpass and parked, then trucked onto the bridge...I didn't see anything too interesting, then walked the rest of the way over for some reflections in this pond.

You can see the Big M on the right, and the traffic lights on I-90 with this three-second exposure. The black dots in the water are ducks.

Here's another photo of this same pond, but quite a bit closer. This is a 10-second exposure, which makes the wind-blown water look soft rather than choppy.
